We're announcing WeShare Aid — a programme that lets hosts donate a percentage of their earnings to community causes, matched by WeShare.
The idea
The sharing economy is, at its core, a community idea. WeShare Aid takes that one step further: turning the act of sharing your assets into a direct contribution to the people around you.
Starting this quarter, hosts can opt into WeShare Aid at checkout. Choose a percentage of each booking's earnings — from 1% to 100% — to donate to a verified local or global cause. WeShare will match donations up to 5%.
How it works
- Hosts opt in through their dashboard settings
- Choose a cause from our verified list (or nominate one)
- Donations are made automatically at payout time
- WeShare matches up to 5% of every donation
- Renters see the WeShare Aid badge on eligible listings
Why this matters
We believe businesses have a responsibility to the communities they operate in. This is our way of building that responsibility into the product — not as a bolt-on, but as a core feature.
