Priya built her dream studio. Then she listed it on WeShare. Now other creatives use it during the week — and it funds her weekend shoots.
The setup
"I'd wanted a proper studio for years," Priya explains. "When I finally got one, I realised I couldn't use it every day. It felt wasteful — this beautiful space sitting empty."
She listed the studio as a workspace on WeShare, offering hourly and daily rates, and including the equipment she was comfortable letting others use: backgrounds, softboxes, a few lenses.
The community that formed
Within two months, Priya had a small roster of regulars — other photographers, a videographer, a beauty brand that did product shots twice a month. "We've started sharing tips, referring clients to each other. It became something more than a transaction."
The numbers
The studio costs Priya £1,200/month in rent. WeShare bookings cover £900 of that.
"My studio basically costs me £300 a month. And I'm meeting incredible people."
